The purpose of this website (eBook) is to provide a centralized location to educate life long learners about Earth Science and the related academic field Environmental Science. This website was created to provide people with trustworthy explanations in this age of internet misinformation. The educational resources are organized into six subtopics: Introduction, the Atmosphere, the Biosphere, the Hydrosphere, the Lithosphere, and Environmental Science. We hope to have most of the webpages up by the end of 2026.
We have also compiled a Glossary of Terms for Earth and Environmental Science, which defines approximately 4000 terms.
Lastly, the link Books offers an organized list of several Earth and Environmental Science textbooks that can be purchased from Amazon or Google Play if you’re interested in delving deeper into specific subject areas.
This website is best viewed using Google Chrome. Apple Safari causes text, tables, and figures to become jumbled when using “views” other than actual size. Hopefully, this software issue will be fixed in the future.
You can support this site financially by making a small donation of $5 or $10 (click the Donate button at the bottom of various pages on the site). This income will help offset the money we spend on hosting costs and various types of software used to create this website. It is also nice to receive some income for all the work we have done to put this site up so anyone can access the information it contains.
We hope you enjoy the site.
